Your Cigna Dentist in Orange Park

At Kind Care Dentistry, we value customer service just as much as we do excellence in dentistry. And our team knows making your dental care more affordable is one of the most important things we can do to improve your experience. That’s why we are pleased to accept a number of dental insurance plans. You can count on Dr. Natasha Patel as your Cigna dentist in Orange Park!

Healthier Smiles with Dental Insurance

People who have dental insurance are more likely to enjoy healthier smiles for a lifetime. That’s because most dental insurance plans focus on prevention to reduce your risk of developing severe oral health problems, like abscessed teeth, periodontal disease, and tooth loss.

How Does Cigna Insurance Work?

Your Cigna plan works best when you visit an in-network dentist, like the team at Kind Care Dentistry. A dentist who is in-network with your plan has come to an agreement to provide dental services at a discounted rate to you right off the bat. You may receive the same discounts visiting an out of network dentist, but you’ll have to pay the full amount out of pocket and wait for a reimbursement.

When you visit us for a service that is completely covered, you don’t have to pay anything at all. For other services, simply pay your portion of the fee -- we’ll file the claim and receive the full payment later on.

What Does My Cigna Plan Cover?

Dental insurance plans, because they focus on prevention, typically cover two checkups and cleanings annually. Additional services that help keep cavities and infection at bay are also usually completely covered -- these include an annual set of X-rays, fluoride treatments, and maybe dental sealants for children.

If we find a cavity, gum disease, or evidence of any other issue requiring care during your six month checkup, we will put together a plan for restorative care. Your dental insurance should cover as much as 80% of the cost of treatments like crowns and bridges, tooth colored fillings, dentures, and other necessary services.

Cosmetic treatments and other elective procedures are usually not covered by dental insurance.

Benefitting from Your Plan

The first step to making the most out of your investment in dental insurance is understanding what benefits you are eligible for. Contact Cigna directly, talk to your company’s HR director, or get in touch with our office to discuss your plan. Then, make sure you schedule an appointment to benefit from your free checkups and cleanings! During this visit, Dr. Patel and our team will discuss your long term treatment plan and help you decide on any further treatments based on your unique needs. While we want to ensure you maximize your benefits, we always encourage patients to make decisions based on their oral health rather than their insurance coverage.
